Examination Information

Bad Weather and Public Examinations

The school will try to remain open to students taking public exams during bad weather, even if the school has to shut to the rest of the students.

If the school has to shut to all students and staff during public exams (including those taking), the exam will have to be re-sat during the next exam session (June).

Please note: if the school is open for a public exam and students fail to attend, no matter what the reason for non-attendance, students will be liable for the payment to re-sit the exam.

The school holds public examinations in November, January, March and Summer. The timetables, regulations and a check list for public examinations can be found on this page, along with timetables for internal examinations.

Controlled Assessment and Coursework

Information on controlled assessments (GCSE and functional skills) and for Coursework (GCE, Entry level and projects) can also be found on this page. Please click here for details of the Year 10 Assessment procedures for this year (2012/2013)

Examination Certificates
Examination Certificates for examinations taken in the summer are usually available from December. We do not post them, but can have them available for collection (given 24 hours notice), if you telephone the school to arrange collection.
